Waxed Flowers flowers of choice, be sure the buds are fresh and firm 2 blocks of parafin wax large pot parchment paper large tray Melt the parafin wax in a double boiler to a temperature of 150 degrees. Cut stems off the flowers down to 2 inches. Holding firmly by the stem end, dip the flower completely into the wax. Lift out immediately and let excess drip into the pot. Line your tray with parchment paper and then place the flowers gently on the paper to dry. Once the wax has hardened, dip the stem into the wax to coat completely. Flowers can be used to decorate around the base of a candle or used for display in the center of a table. Back to Fun Projects |
